Expert Reasons to Set Up a social media Profile across platforms.
There are so many media platforms to think of when looking for graduate opportunities the main ones to consider are:
LinkedIn®, Reed, CV Library, Grad Cracker, and Find a job

Helps make valuable connections
Each platform has their own way of creating a profile, some are a simple “your name” what you are looking for, salary range and others are more in-depth and you can add your work experience, skills and be endorsed by people. This also works as a mini reference.
Use these platforms to upload your CV, work/industry preferences, and any work experience you have had. Fill them out as much as you can to build the best picture of you and your abilities.
Some have the option to reach out to people you have worked with in the past. This is great for keeping in touch if you need their help in the future for references or even a job. Additionally, connect with your lecturers, they can add endorsements to your LinkedIn® profile for future employers to review.
Helps with writing your CV
If you keep your profiles are up to date they can act as a CV for future employers to download/see. This will help when you need to write a professional CV rather than relying on the online version (it is more professional to write one) All relevant dates to hand on your profile gives you on hand information to copy across to a written CV.
Staying Active
Keeping your profiles updated will also keep your account active. There is nothing worse than being rejected from a role as the employer you have applied to because the information you display is incorrect. Also, photos (if allowed) keep them updated, graduation photos are great but as you move in to the work places update them. Do not use any drunken night out pictures – keep it professional.
We have had clients cancel interviews and reject CVs due to them checking out the candidates’ profiles. Finding out that the profile is not up to date and their profile does not reflect the CV in front of them is off putting. They are a fabulous tool if they are up to date. If not, it could be a massive hindrance.
