5 Reasons you aren’t getting the results you want

You Procrastinate. You keep putting things off. You talk about how you want to do something but you don’t act on it. You know ignoring the situation will not make it go away, so stop spending time defending your issues and take action. When you get suggestions, rather than justifying why they won’t work, brainstorm to see if they can help you. Spend more time actively looking for solutions and put them to work. An easy way to avoid procrastination is to organise your tasks in order of importance and set yourself dates and times to get it done! Allow yourself small rewards as motivation. You’ll get a lot more results this way, and you’ll be happier.

You need to learn how to Work smarter not Harder. You do the same thing over and over, even when you don’t get results. If you are not getting where you need to be, it’s a signal that it’s time to change your approach. Strategize how you can use your time more effectively for example when completing larger tasks keep your to-do list small, focusing on the important areas. No need to multi-task, cut out the small tasks and take a few shortcuts where you can. As long as the finished product is up to a high standard there’s no need for long-winded processes.

You give up too easily. You give up before you even get anywhere. Nothing comes easy, you have to push for those big goals. It’s easy to get disheartened when things don’t go to plan, or when you feel as though you’re putting in your best and aren’t getting the results you want. But patience is key. It’s completely normal for things not to work out the first time but keep going. If you want to succeed, you’ll have to fight for it.

You avoid problems. You avoid taking action because some of the things you have to do intimidate you. You rather delay the process as much as possible. Unfortunately, results are not going to come if you don’t try. Stop avoiding things that are difficult because they won’t just go away. Don’t let your fear of failing get in your way. Face your fears and do it anyway.

You lose sight of your goals. Don’t get distracted and forget the reason you’re doing what you’re doing. When things get hard it’s easy for your attention gets diverted from your goals, but your ability to stay focused is key to achieving results. Be clear of what you want and stick to it. Don’t settle for less and remind yourself of your original goals for motivations, it’s the fuel to your success.
