Why start now?
Many graduate opportunities open for applications months in advance, and many of them are only open for a very short period of time. If you miss your chance to apply, you may have to wait a whole year before you can apply again which is why its so important to start your job search immediately.
The reason they begin so far in advance is because the selection process can be quite long due to multiple stages of interviews such as assessment centres, training days etc so its time to get started. There’s no worse feeling than finding your perfect job only to find out that the applications are closed!
How to get started?
Get your CV ready – First impressions count so make sure your CV is ready and up to date. It could also be a good step to draft a cover letter that you can adapt for each specific job you apply for. Doing the groundwork now can really help you out in the future and help to take some of that stress away. Find out more on our CV writing page.

A lot of the larger companies will have a specific Graduate Careers page where you can sign up for job updates, so you don’t miss out. Be proactive and don’t give up.
