Roles & Responsibilities

Due to increased growth, our client is looking to recruit a client focused commercially aware graduate into the team. Within this exciting role you will be reporting into the Design Manager and working with a team of experienced individuals who will support your growth in the business.

You will be supporting the external sales team with a professional, effective and efficient link for customers and internal departments relating to potential projects/tenders. You will also have contact with the design team based in Manchester.

This position requires an exceptional individual who is able to build effective working relationships both internally and externally. This role offers a real variety utilising marketing, creativity and communication in a fast-paced environment, if you believe you have the ability to think on your feet with unlimited possibilities to progress and grow, then this is the role for you.

REPORT TO: Design Manger

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

You will support local teams and establish design specifications in line with customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with external sales to undertake pack development projects
  • Identify efficient manufacturing routes
  • Have the ability to carry out pack reviews for customers, getting a good grasp on innovation and how we can really
  • Meet with our customers and discuss project briefs as appropriate
  • Produce and present completed project material to customers
  • Produce virtual packs with graphics (with support from the design team)
  • Complete departmental records
  • Liaise with production personnel to improve design for manufacture
  • Liaise with other departments and functions including graphic design and sales
  • Produce design prototypes as appropriate using CAD (PC)

Skills Required

  • Degree educated – relevant studies
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to develop relationships
  • Driven, self-motivated with a can -do attitude
  • Creative with an eye for detail
  • Committed to continuous professional development
  • CAD skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT literate (Microsoft)
  • Have an aptitude to manage
  • Ability to learn about company production capabilities
  • To be able to develop an in-depth understanding of the different applications and performance of the range of pack styles as well as an understanding of the appropriateness of different materials and pack styles clients may use.
  • An understanding of the commercial implications of different materials and pack styles
  • Driving licence – to enable you to visit other sites/clients

This role offers exciting scope to progress into other areas of the business, with training and access to key areas including Commercial, Project Management, Design, Sales that will benefit your development.

HOURS OF WORK: 35hrs – 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm (Flexible) Office based role.
