Our client provides many of the UK’s most recognised financial brands with market leading software to support Training and Competence, Learning Management, Quality Assurance and Customer feedback.

Our client understands the importance of management information in keeping business both efficient and compliant.  The interoperability of their modules enables customers to drive improvements across business units.

Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced and high-performing Marketing Principal to help lead the delivery of our marketing strategy which will be formulated by our Director of Regulation & Market Engagement and our Customer Engagement & Propositions Principal

Based from home, (or in the office if you prefer) but with the expectation of office meetings in Milton Keynes on a weekly basis, the individual will report directly to the Customer Engagement & Propositions Principal and will be responsible for delivering key elements of the marketing strategy., This will include crafting marketing plans and event activity aligned to the Market Engagement strategy of the business. As part of a close-knit team, you will be involved in a fast-paced, creative environment where a “can do” attitude and “getting stuck in” is key.

Duties:  

  • Support the Director of R & ME and the Customer Engagement and Propositions Principal implement the strategic marketing plan that expands our company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence as a leader in our areas of expertise
  • Identify appropriate industry awards and submit relevant applications on behalf of the business and relevant employees
  • Work with our Trade Body partners to identify connected marketing opportunities for us to support
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts whilst being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Set personal targets and objectives in line with the strategic goals of the organisation. And in conjunction with the (CE & MP)
  • Liaise and communicate across the organisation to ensure that good relationships are maintained, and that key information is exchanged on a regular basis
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to monitor and track industry developments and trends, taking account of these in developing marketing initiatives
  • Take responsibility for undertaking key communications activities in Hubspot in order to manage both our inbound marketing journey and prospect CRM and be accountable for regular reporting to the management team which will include (but are not an exhaustive list): CRM management and day to day oversight, Lead communication plan, monthly, quarterly and annually, Leads generation, Leads nurturing, Appropriate MI and the analysis of MI
  • In conjunction with our outsourced marketing partner (GBD) develop and Manage the organizational Social Media strategy spanning both Linked In and Twitter
  • Work with our design partners to create appropriate product brochures, infographics and on-line ads
  • Manage our Website, making sure that the latest news, blogs, webinars, podcasts and activities are always up to date and available for our prospects to interact with

INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1st and 2nd stage interviews will be held via Zoom.  Second stage interview will require the candidate to prepare a campaign around one of our existing products.

Your Qualities:

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and self-manage time and tasks on a daily basis
  • Able to work under pressure, managing numerous tasks simultaneously whilst adhering to strict timescales.
  • Focused, logical, presentable, able to work under pressure, driven by quality and able to manage their own time within a team environment.
  • Target driven with a high degree of self-motivation and the on-going drive to succeed in a result driven environment
  • Organised with strong attention to detail and prepared to challenge the norm
  •  Strong administration skills and analytical skills that can be put to good use in support of positive decision making
  • Commercially astute, well versed in commercial negotiation with supply partners and at ease with complex analysis on ROI
  • Confident in delivering professional presentations utilising a wide range of media
  • Excellent communication skills on both a 1:1 and group basis and at all levels within the organisation
  • A people person with the ability to influence and engage others with new ideas and campaign suggestions

Your Experience:

  • 3 years + previous experience as a marketing executive, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Demonstrably successful track record in role in a (B2B) environment – ideally within financial services and/or software
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Experience within a B2B sales environment
  • Experience of using Hubspot (or similar) CRM/Marketing platform to support a wide range of marketing processes
  • Experience of managing in-house website from a day to day operational perspective
  • High level of general IT literacy, including a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, together with the aptitude to learn new software applications quickly
  • Experience within Financial Services and the complex regulatory environment would be an advantage
  • Experience of marketing B2B products in an international environment (preferred, but not essential)
