Roles & Responsibilities
Our client is expanding and we are looking for a Junior / Mid-Level Javascript developer to join them as a member of their Agile product development team. You’ll be helping them build the next generation of regulatory/compliance web applications focussed around a React-based client and .NET C# / SQL back end. This is a full-time position for someone with 2+ years of relevant experience who is proficient in front-end technologies, together with Microsoft frameworks and tool chains.
As a valued member of their crew, they will train and encourage you in keeping up to date with the latest technologies and tools.
Work as part of a full stack team that designs, develops and delivers web-based solutions to the cloud and our standard hosted environments.
The focus for this role will be on front-end Javascript for our React based web applications.
Produce and influence high standards in code deliverables using techniques such as, unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD etc.
Collaborate with all areas of the business to ensure that products can be smoothly transitioned from initial requirements through to design and subsequently on to release.
Participate in design discussions with a focus on providing clean, maintainable solutions with a great user experience.
Assist our Customer Support team to troubleshoot issues with customer environments and provide sustainable resolutions.
Be able to work on a number of projects at varying stages simultaneously, efficiently context-switch and be highly responsive to the needs of your colleagues.
Skills Required
At least 2 years’ commercial experience in producing robust, secure, scalable web-based applications in an Agile/Lean/Scrum environment.
Demonstrable competency Javascript and React front-end components.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar.
Very good analytical and communication skills.
Passionate about unit testing (BDD, TDD).
Enthusiasm towards technology, development process and continuous improvement
Desirables
Exposure to .Net Framework and .Net Core, in particular, experience in implementing WebAPI controllers.
Familiarity with older ASP.NET coding.
Unit testing using Rhino Mocks and Moq.
Experience in interfacing to SQL databases, ideally with Entity Framework and competence with T-SQL.
Full-stack experience using .Net Framework and .Net Core to implement WebAPI controllers in addition to front-end skills.
Azure DevOps for workflow and Git or similar for source control.
Experience in a CI/CD environment and automated testing.
Commercial experience of delivering a SaaS solution in a hosted or cloud environment would be an advantage.
A knowledge of the Financial Services industry

Second interview: Second stage will introduce the Full stack Developer and .NET Developer, followed by interview with the Chief Technical Officer and HR Assistant.
