Nationwide firm that provides building repairs and catastrophic disaster management to a range of varied clients across the UK. They use a network of specialist contractors to provide repairs to varying claims as well as handling insurance claims relating to property damage.

Roles & Responsibilities

Our client has a requirement for a bright professional who has completed a placement year in IT or has proven experience in an IT support role on site and remote as part of their course to work within their Operations team.  Duties will involve the following:

 Tableau ‘Creator’ building and devising workbooks alongside the Business Analyst

  • Maintain servers, data security, and all aspects of our network
  • Administrate the VOIP based phone system
  • Manage software including cloud-based storage, Microsoft 365, Nitro, and Encryption licenses
  • Implement the IT replacement cycle and keep an inventory of hardware
  • Troubleshoot and fix laptops, mobile devices, and other office hardware
  • Maintain printers and other office hardware including ordering inks, toner etc.
  • Support staff with Windows and software issues
  • Liaise with IT service providers to immediately resolve service faults
  • Provide cover for the Data Analysis including generating and issuing Management Information, client invoices, and client bordereaux.
  • Keep-up with trends and new technologies and propose new approaches where there are opportunities
  • Future: develop, program, debug, maintain, and test the company bespoke job management system

 Our client has a new operating platform across the business by way of a claims management system so the role will include some coding as the role progresses.

Our client is due to take ownership of this platform completely at the end of this year so training will be given on the code.

Skills Required

  • Placement year in IT or Proven Experience in an IT support role on site and remote.
  • Good knowledge of React software
  • Proven experience as an IT technician or relevant experience working in technology supporting users
  • Enthusiasms for new technologies and how they can be harnessed to drive business outcomes
  • Calm and able to cope with changing priorities
  • Hands-on and comfortable with taking on additional duties to support the business need
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience administrating Microsoft 365, using a Tableau ‘creator’ licence, and developing apps are an advantage
