Roles & Responsibilities
To provide a comprehensive service with regard to technical support, pricing and promotion for the company (IT Software Development) products
Provide support to Product Manager (ITSD):
Attend visits to Customers in conjunction with Product Manager.
Assist Product Manager with Proof of Concept.
Assist in creating proposals based on company product offering.
Conduct product training for the UK Sales Team (and other employees where relevant) in conjunction with the Product Manager.
Assist in the development of the use of the MICA product within different marketplaces and solutions.
Provide support from the Northampton office in the Product Manager’s absence.
Provide technical support:
Deliver comprehensive technical support to Customers, Regional Managers, and as required (both face to face and on the telephone).
Keep up to date on product specifications in order to provide best possible service.
Answer general enquiries regarding RFID/Edge Computing.
Deliver technical support to customers (both internal and external) on ITSD solutions.
Communicate with international offices to work on specialist solutions.
Work with Systems Integrators to identify best solutions.
Develop an accurate bespoke demo solution if required for customer applications.
Investigate and qualify whether there are opportunities for other products within an ITSD prospect.
Be aware of and communicate changes in market conditions and technology.
Effectively manage price and special prices requests:
In conjunction with the Product Manager set competitive pricing structures.
Provide support to Product and Applications Team:
Assist with day to day activities and project work for local and international Product Team when required.
Provide basic technical advice regarding full range of products where required.
Provide general administration support where required.
Provide support and assistance for marketing activities:
Assist in the design and build of exhibition materials.
Attend exhibition events where required.
Assist in media-related activities such as proof-reading of press releases and technical articles as created by the Marketing Department.
Provide ideas and content for promotional activity
Research and provide market and competitor information.
Provide relevant product training as required as a result of requests from other departments or as required by new personnel:
Carry out product related training (as required) for Employees.
Carry out product related training (as required) for Customers.
Ensure training programmes are developed based on self-teach principles in order to meet future training needs.
BSc in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Basic understanding of edge computing.
Experience of software programming (e.g. Node-RED, Python, Debian, Java).
Ideally previous experience working with Integrators.
Ideally previous experience of working with RFID.
