Our client is a CRM software author. Their teams’ background is based on extensive business and systems experience, matched by expert technical knowledge. They bring their clients’ projects the quality and experience from successfully delivering hundreds of company implementations to customers operating in a range of business sectors.

The company work with their clients to build a solution which enhances existing processes and improves sales or customer service performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

This exciting executive role has newly been created as the company look to increase their internal marketing and sales capabilities and skills, and you’ll be joining them as they enter an exciting period of product development and customer growth.

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be interested in developing your commercial career, be a forward and analytical thinker who will have a direct responsibility to develop our lead generation strategy.  Take an active role in new business activation – building on nurture and social touchpoints to build prospect relationships and identify CRM opportunities.

You should be a self-motivated individual and possess great communication skills. Working as part of a friendly team in an interesting and varied role. They will help you develop both your sales, marketing and broader business skills, as well as giving you a unique opportunity to gain insight into how leading businesses manage their sales & marketing functions.


You will start on a 2-week induction spending time with every team/division to understand how they all work together as well as spending time developing product knowledge.

You will be supported by continuous mentoring by the experts in the business with the opportunity to really take on responsibility and make this role your own.

Following your probation, you will also have access to a range of external training to support your professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Areas:

  • Contribute to our lead generation strategy in line with Sales & Marketing OKRs, working with marketing and sales colleagues.
  • Contribute to content creation such as landing pages, blogs, video and more to underpin our sales enablement strategy.
  • Identify new lead sources and generate new leads by managing current relations with lead generation third parties and working in collaboration with the sales and marketing team.
  • Support sales and marketing colleagues with lead nurture campaigns
  • Report on all lead generation activity and activation using company dashboards.
  • Engage in Account Activation with the sales team building on nurture campaign or social media touchpoints, to develop CRM opportunities.

Lead generation:

  • Working with marketing and sales colleagues, contribute to the lead generation strategy to meet team and company OKRs. To plan all projects and activities within the company
  • Test, optimise, and measure all lead campaigns.
  • Actively seek new lead generation sources (OTHER AGENCIES WE CAN USE OR ONLINE SOURCES) to attract new prospects to the company for the UK and North America
  • Generate leads through various activities, including third-party suppliers and paid advertising such as LinkedIn and Google Ads.
  • Use company CRM to capture, distribute and report on leads by source.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with third-party suppliers, whilst actively challenging and monitoring the quality of leads.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager to manage company listings and reviews to aid lead generation and win product awards.
  • Manage the company Category listing and bidding strategy to ensure they stay within the Top 20 CRMs and appear favourably within the chosen categories to encourage engagement and clickthrough’s.

Sales enablement & account activation:

  • Engage in Account Activation to nurture prospects with the sales team building on nurture campaign or social media touchpoints, to develop CRM opportunities.
  • Monitor website and social media touchpoints such as for follow up, assist with allocation of activation accounts, and leads.
  • Develop nurture campaigns with the Sales team. This can include, creating copy, setting up campaign automation, obtaining sign-off, ongoing management, and ROI measurement.
  • Understand the key principles of a sales enablement strategy and play an active role in the alignment of sales & marketing to achieve a progressive approach in this area for our business.


  • Become a Super User of the system and ensure that lead data is recorded correctly to encourage accurate reporting.
  • Report on all lead generation using the companies reporting tools such as dashboards and other tools such as LinkedIn and Google ads reporting.
  • Manage quarterly lead generation meetings to review progress, budgets, costs, and ROI.
  • Analyse Google analytical data to record conversions, identify opportunities, and support lead generation reporting.


  • Work closely with other company teams including Customer Support, Projects & Technical teams.
  • To undertake other duties which fall within the scope of the post as determined by the Management Team.
  • The successful candidate will be provided with appropriate training as required for the role.

Skills Required

  • Relevant degree
  • Placement year/internship/experience in marketing, commercial or sales environment
  • Sound knowledge of marketing & sales principles.
  • Effective and clear communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent at building relationships
  • Good copywriting skills
  • Experienced in marketing automation
  • Proficient in LinkedIn
  • Good project management and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse data and effectively present information
  • Strong sense of initiative and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Motivated with a passion for marketing and sales.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop relevant skills as required.

HOLIDAY: 23 days per annum plus bank holidays which increases to 25 days after 3 years’ service.

HOURS: Core office hours: 9am to 5.30pm (37.5 hours/week)

LOCATION: The position is permanent full-time, with hybrid working (to be in the office, to begin with whilst training)
