How do I register at The Graduate?

Send a word formatted copy of your CV to candidate@thegraduaterecruitment.co.uk A member of our team will then be in touch with you within 5 working days to discuss how we can assist you. Alternatively you can contact us on 01604 622100 or 01908 787448.

Please note you are not officially registered with The Graduate until you have had a face to face appointment with a consultant. We like to offer appointments to candidates when we feel we have an opportunity that matches the education and skill set on your CV.

How long does a registration appointment with a consultant take, and should I bring anything with me?

Your registration interview will last for approximately 45 minutes. You will need to bring a copy of your degree/masters certificate with you along with a photographic ID. We are unable to put you forward for any opportunities until we have proof of ID and proof that you are a graduate. We prefer to meet all candidates face to face at our premises, however we can offer skype appointments and out of hours appointments for candidates who are struggling to arrange the time off work.

What if I am waiting to graduate and have not received my certificate yet?

If you are due to graduate and have no certificate to prove you are a graduate we will contact your university and ask them to confirm you did attend and you have achieved. We will not be able to put you forward for a graduate role until this proof has been attained.

Should I wear a suit to the registration interview?

We do not expect graduates to wear a suit/business wear to the registration interview. However, it is advisable to be smartly presented, as first impressions DO count.

Will there be any testing as part of the registration process?

We do not normally test candidates on numeracy or IT as part of the interview however we do ask all candidates to complete an application and as part of this we are checking for attention to detail, grammar, ability to work to a deadline and get it back to us when requested as well as testing communication throughout the registration interview. Many of our clients also carry out on site tests as part of their process and candidates will be advised prior to their interviews.

Should I call on a regular basis for an update?

Please contact us if your details need updating, otherwise we will be in touch when a graduate opportunity becomes available for you. We are always here to support all of our candidates and everyone likes to be communicated with in a different way ie text, e mail, telephone, skype Please tell us what you prefer and we will work with you to ensure you are updated via your chosen method.
